A Proclamation

WHEREAS, citizens residing in Wilkes-Barre as well as in Luzerne County are experiencing negative events and news on a daily basis, and are feeling the negative emotional and health impact of these negative events and news, Mayor Thomas Leighton and Harold Cameron, Chief of Helping People, of HaroldSays, and other county and state organizations, are celebrating the Be Positive Do Something Positive Day, March 1, 2008; and,

WHEREAS, HaroldSays, and these organizations are working towards promoting positive thought and action on the part of and for the benefit of all citizens who reside in Wilkes-Barre, which are crucial to making our county a more positive, better and and safer future for everyone living in Wilkes-Barre; and,

WHEREAS, all the citizens who live in Wilkes-Barre and in Luzerne County should have the opportunity to be positive and do something positive; and

WHEREAS, in recognizing and supporting the people, organizations and programs that are committed to promoting positive thought and action on the part of all citizens,

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED THAT I,
THOMAS M. LEIGHTON, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF WILKES-BARRE,

do hereby proclaim March 1, 2008 as

"BE POSITIVE DO SOMETHING POSITIVE DAY"

in the City of Wilkes-Barre and encourage all citizens to be positive and to do something positive for and in Wilkes Barre.
