This is a sample of a proclamation. If you want to help by asking your town mayor, county officials, state governor, or President Barack Obama to issue a proclamation for the day this is a sample of the format you would use. If you have any questions or need help with writing the proclamation or need contact information, please contact me by E-mail at harold@bepositiveday.com. Thank you in advance for your help!
Edward G. Rendell, Governor of the state of Pennsylvania, is the first state governor to commit to declaring March 1, 2008 as The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day for 2008.
A new proclamation from 2010 might read:
GREETINGS:
It is my pleasure to join with HaroldSays in recognizing July 14, 2010 as The Positive Day in (whatever state county or city the proclamation is for).
Recent studies indicate that consumer's feelings on safety and confidence in the United States are at an all time low. Problems such as crime, bullying in schools, and teenage suicide are leading millions of Americans to suffer from some form of mental illness.
Harold Cameron, The Chief of Helping People of HaroldSays, has developed an answer to the negativity that people are feeling and experiencing in our nation today - The Positive Day.
The Positive Day promotes just that - being positive for yourself and others as well as doing something positive for yourself and others. These efforts will help create change in our families and homes, in our schools and work, and in our communities, our state and our world. There needs to be more understanding as to how important and significant the connections are to being positive and doing positive things and how it affects others in our world around us. It is my hope that positivity in thought and action will lead the people of this (city, county or state) and nation to be more positive and do some positive and good things for another person, organization, or charitable cause every day.
As mayor, commissioners, or governor, I extend my full support of July 14, 2010 as The Positive Day. Best wishes for a successful and memorable day.
