This is a sample of a proclamation. If you want to help by asking your town mayor, county officials, state governor, or President Bush to issue a proclamation for the day this is a sample of the format you would use. If you have any questions or need help with writing the proclamation or need contact information, please contact me by E-mail at harold@bepositiveday.com. Thank you in advance for your help!

Jennifer Granholm, Governor of the state of Michigan, has become the third state governor to declare March 1, 2008 as The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day.

Her proclamation reads:

Whereas, Citizens of Michigan as well as across the country are experiencing negative news on a daily basis, and as a result are feeling the negative emotional and health impacts of this news; and,

Whereas, HaroldSays, is an organization that works towards promoting positive thought and action on part of and for the benefit of all citizens throughout the country; and,

Whereas, Citizens should have the opportunity to be positive and do something positive; and,

Whereas, Be Positive Do Something Positive Day promotes and supports the people, organizations, and programs that are committed to promoting positive thought and action; and now therefore be it,

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim March 1, 2008, as Be Positive Do Something Positive Day.
