 "Kindness Grants Program"

Pennsylvania Auto Parts Store Chain Owner Establishes "Kindness Grant” Program

Mr. Bob Butts, owner of Cee-Kay Auto Parts in Northeastern PA, has recently initiated a "Kindness Grant" award program. Mr. Butts will award one $1000 grant to schools, school classes, or prisoner groups each month to encourage students or prisoners to do acts of "kindness" within their homes, schools, communities, or prisons.
Mr. Butts is asking other companies in Northeastern PA and all across the state of PA and country to issue "Kindness Grant" awards of $1000.00 so more "Kindness Grants" can be awarded to schools, school classes, and prisoner groups. Any school or prisoner group can apply to receive a "Kindness Grant." How the "Kindness Grant" program works is this:

  • The school, school class, or prisoner group has to come up with a very unique, special, and ongoing initiative of "kindness" to receive The "Kindness Grant." The idea must be created and developed by the students or prisoners themselves. The idea must promote kindness in the school or prison and also in the community. If chosen for a grant, the students or prisoners awarded the grant are to decide how to spend the money.
  • Only one "Kindness Grant" of $1000.00 will be awarded to each school or prison. The grant would be given to the class of students with the best ideas or to the entire school. The same rule would apply to a prisoner group or prison.
  • Any school or prison can apply for a “kindness” grant. There is no formal application process for receiving the grant. The students or prisoners write down their ideas, how they will implement them with guidance from their teachers or counselors, and submit them to the committee for consideration.
  • The $1,000 grant would be used to implement the program of those students or prisoners who are awarded the grant. The students or prisoners are awarded $500.00 initially and then they would receive the other $500.00 as the program moves forward.
  •
If a company or organization wants to participate in the program and provide funding for a "Kindness Grant" the owner or executives from that company or organization can decide who gets the grant from their company or organization. The donor company or organization issues the grant directly to the school, school class, or prisoner group of their choice. Mr. Butts and the individuals who are working with him do not want to receive the money for the grant. We all want the grant to go directly to the school, school class, or prisoner group. All of us who are involved with this project do not want to receive any compensation or personal benefit for promoting the "Kindness Grants" or the "kindness" initiative.
  • The donor company or organization for the "Kindness Grant" will be featured on the blog HaroldSays as well as here on The Be Positive Day Website for their generosity in making a "kindness" grant donation.
  • The school, school class, or prisoner group, (if allowed), and their "kindness" project will be featured on the blog at HaroldSays as well as here on The Be Positive Day Website for having received a "kindness" grant.
